Season 5 Episode 4- Making Creative Spaces with Award Winning Artist Catherine MacDiarmid
Pardon me every one- as I totally geek out because for our last episode of our current topic series- Coffee, Brief Cases and Diaper Bags- I got to meet one of my favourite working artists and TV sensations, from across the ocean in Kendall, UK, I chatted with Catherine MacDiarmid.
I first came across Catherine on Prime’s Sky Art’s Portrait Artist of the Year competition, and instantly connected to her story as a mom and working artist- and was instantly mesmerized by her body or work and her talent.
We chatted about putting ourselves out there, working with the inner critic and imposter syndrome- which interestingly has been the common thread that everyone guest we have had on this series has grappled with- we chatted about our kids, nurturing creativity, and balancing feelings of responsibility, guilt, and self preservation.
